The budget anticipates a deficit of $483 million for 2021-22 and projects deficits of $5.5 billion for 2022-23 and $4.2 billion for 2023-24. Although the budget does not include any new changes to the corporate or personal tax rates, it requires marketplace facilitators to collect and remit tax on certain sales and leases made in British Columbia, introduces a temporary Clean Buildings Tax Credit and temporarily exempts used zero-emission vehicles from provincial sales tax (PST), among other changes.
