Alberta announced it is extending the due date for its Alberta Corporate Income Tax Returns (AT1s) to June 1, 2020, for all returns originally due after March 18, 2020 and before June 1, 2020. This comes as welcome relief to taxpayers and effectively harmonizes Alberta with the recently announced federal filing extension for T2 corporate income tax returns.

Previously, Alberta had only announced that corporate income tax balances and instalment payments, originally due on or after March 18, 2020, would be deferred to August 31, 2020.
