Quebec taxpayers will now have more time to make certain tax filings and payments due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Quebec announced that it would extend the deadline for individual income tax returns to June 1, 2020 (from April 30, 2020) and for trusts to May 1, 2020 (from March 30, 2020). In addition, the province says it will extend the balance due date for tax instalments and taxes payable to at least July 31, 2020 for individuals, individuals with business income, trusts and corporations. These changes were announced on March 17, 2020.
No measures were announced to extend indirect tax deadlines, or partnership information return filing deadlines.
