Finance Minister Bill Morneau will deliver Canada’s 2020 federal budget on March 30, 2020.
Although the government has signalled that this year's budget will focus on climate change and the environment, any details on what measures may be under consideration are kept under wraps until the budget is released. However, when preparing this year's federal budget, it's likely that the government will draw heavily on its 2019 election platform and a recent report from the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (Finance Committee), which was presented to Parliament on February 28, 2020.
