The IRS released final and additional proposed regulations to implement the U.S. base erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT) on December 2, 2019. These final and new proposed regulations include additional guidance on the BEAT rules that Canadian multinationals should be aware of as they continue to meet their obligations under the U.S. tax reform changes.
