Penny Woolford is a partner with KPMG’s Canadian International Corporate Tax group in the Greater Toronto Area. With over 35 years of tax experience specializing in corporate tax with an emphasis on international tax, corporate reorganizations, financings and mergers and acquisitions. She previously chaired the Joint Committee on Taxation and the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation. She is a frequent speaker and writes on international tax topics. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and was recognized in International Tax Review’s Women in Tax Leaders guide in all years published (since 2015).  She was awarded the Lifetime Contribution Award by the Canadian Tax Foundation in 2023 and the Annual Volunteer award by CPA Canada in 2016. She is also a member of Council for the Canadian branch of the International Fiscal Association.
