KPMG in Canada
Garry Wilton, P.Eng, is a Partner, KPMG Canada and Partner in Charge of KPMG’s Tax Incentives Practice in Calgary. Garry received his Aerospace Engineering degree from Carleton University and began his career working in University of Windsor/DaimlerChrysler’s Automotive Research and Development Centre in Windsor, Ontario. He joined KPMG’s Tax practice in 2004 and now manages a large number of Oil and Gas industry SR&ED Claims. He has been a panelist for a number of sessions for industry groups including Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC). He is an active member of Canadian Association of Petroleum Producer’s (CAPP) SR&ED Subcommittee and presents the SR&ED component of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society’s (CPTS) Introduction to Oil and Gas Taxation course. Garry has also published in the CPTS Journal on the topic SR&ED eligibility.
