Michelle Thornton

Michelle is a Partner at KPMG in Canada’s National Tax Centre, with over 20 years of experience in tax. She currently leads KPMG’s internal and external tax publications for Canada, among other tax knowledge-sharing initiatives within the firm. 

Michelle has extensive experience in a broad range of Canadian tax compliance and tax advisory matters. In addition to almost 20 years of experience with KPMG, Michelle was also a senior tax professional at a large multinational company for three years, where she was responsible for the tax compliance, planning and advisory work for a portfolio of entities within the group.
