Georges Pigeon has over 20 years of extensive M&A transaction and accounting, audit and advisory experience with KPMG both in North America and Europe in predominance, and has specialized in the field of financial services since 1996. In 2000, Georges joined KPMG London’s Transaction Services – Financial Sector group, providing value-adding transaction assistance to corporates and private equity firms pursuing cross-border and domestic transactions in banking, specialty finance, non-life insurance, securities dealer, and fund management. He joined the Transaction Services group of KPMG Montreal in 2003 and provides a wide range of due diligence and transaction-oriented services to corporate and private equity firms pursuing cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions. Georges focuses primarily on transactions in the financial services industry - since joining KPMG's office in Montreal, Georges has led over 100 domestic and cross-border transactions in insurance underwriting and distribution, banking and finance, leasing, payments and fintech, and wealth management sector. Georges further complements his deep financial services industry experience with extensive transaction experience in the food, aerospace, manufacturing and distribution sectors.
