Derek Peters

Derek leads a team of 9 partners and over 90 staff members in delivering client service excellence to our clients. Derek has over 24 years’ experience in public accounting and has been an Audit Partner in KPMG’s Toronto office for 14 years, where he has spent the majority of his career within the Tech industry. He is entirely focused on serving US and Canadian publicly listed companies and serves as one of KPMG’s Canadian Securities Reviewing Partners, supporting our clients with IPOs, secondary and debt offerings.  Derek has led Global KPMG teams in support of a number of Toronto based companies that have operations across North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Derek serves as the Lead Audit Partner on several multi-national engagements and acts as an Engagement Quality Control Reviewing Partner supporting multiple client engagements.
