Jeff Oldewening is a Partner in the International Corporate Tax group at KPMG LLP, and a Partner in the tax law group at KPMG Law LLP in Toronto. Jeff’s practice focuses on complex, cross-border M&A and reorganizations.
Before coming to KPMG Law LLP and KPMG Canada in 2011, Jeff worked at a major Canadian law firm. During his tenure at KPMG he has focused on Tax in Financial Services, Banking & Finance, Investment Dealers, Industrial Markets, Automotive, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, Forestry, Transportation, Aerospace and Defence, Chemicals, Consumer Markets, Retail, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Public Sector (PS), Public Utilities, Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas, Publicly Traded Utilities, Private Equity (PE), Pension Plans and Investment Boards, Venture Capital, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
Jeff has advised many large financial institutions and banks on their tax needs.
Jeff has worked with a variety of pension plans to assist in their M&A tax planning needs.
Jeff has experience in complex reorganization.
Jeff is a member of the editorial board for International Tax Planning, a journal published by Thomson Reuters. He has written articles for a variety of other publications, including the Canadian Tax Journal.
