Tony Marino

Tony is a Partner in KPMG’s Toronto Real Estate and Construction Practice. He has extensive experience in auditing both real estate companies and real estate investment trusts.

Tony has over 25 years of experience in providing advisory and audit services to both private and public companies in the sectors, such as development, institutional landlords, construction, and real estate property management.  

Tony has significant experience leading engagements for public entities, including a number of Real Estate Investment Trusts. In addition to experience leading engagements, Tony is a Securities Engagement Partner and a Professional Practice Partner in KPMG’s Financial Institutions and Real Estate practice. Tony’s experience includes significant prospectus work, Business Acquisition Reports, and other regulatory filings. 

Tony has extensive construction experience. He has acted as engagement partner on a number of engagements, including Carillion Canada, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, and Amec Inc.  

Tony additionally has experience with crown corporations  ̶  he was previously the engagement partner of the joint audit of Canada Lands Company Limited and Atomic Energy Canada Limited. 

Beyond his audit responsibilities, Tony has assisted numerous clients through the initial public offering stage both for corporate entities and Real Estate Income Trusts.  Tony has also been a leader in numerous advisory engagements, including due diligence on real estate asset acquisitions and disposition assignments for property and corporate transactions, property manager contract analysis and performance reviews, and other specialty type reviews.
