Stu has over 30 years of experience in economic and financial services, including 18 years with KPMG (Winnipeg and Calgary), and has served in executive management positions in the private sector, non-profit sector and with government. Stu is a Partner in the KPMG Infrastructure team and a Managing Director, KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. Service delivery work includes transactions, economic development, infrastructure advisory, strategic planning, operational reviews, economic and financial analysis, and business performance improvement, for private and public sector clients. Stu has been the lead advisor or project manager for several transactions and projects in a range of sectors. He has been the engagement lead on many advisory engagements for public sector clients, and has an in-depth understanding of government finance, policy and operations. Stu has written several publications in areas such as Canada-U.S. trade, capital markets, and economic development in western Canada. He has served on a number of boards for community organizations, and has been an economic advisor on international aid work. Stu has been a frequent speaker on topics such as economic development, infrastructure, governance and strategic planning.
