Cindy Choi

Cindy joined KPMG Law in 2015 and became a manager with KPMG’s U.S. M&A Tax practice in 2017. She advises on a wide range of cross-border matters, including M&A (public and private), joint venture, and partnership transactions. She helps structure transactions in a tax-efficient manner and determine the U.S. federal income tax treatment of complex structuring scenarios. She conducts tax due diligence investigations and provides technical tax guidance, including drafting opinions and preparing submissions to the Internal Revenue Service. She works with a broad range of Canadian and U.S. clients, including sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, and corporations on both the buy side and sell side.
