An international research that KPMG carries out yearly amongst eight hundred stock market listed enterprises around the world has shown that almost 60% makes no mention in its annual report of the risks the company faces due to cybercrime. In The Bahamas that figure is 80%.
None of companies researched in The Bahamas dedicated a full paragraph or more than a paragraph to Cyber Security risks. Not surprisingly, the financial services sector was most likely to reference cyber risks, albeit only through a few sentences, inline with the larger findings.
