Christopher Garman's research focuses on the politics of macroeconomic management across emerging markets and comparative studies of national elections. He also leads the firm's coverage of Brazil, including the regulatory environment in the energy sector. In particular, he has been instrumental in guiding analysis of the Lavo Jato scandal. Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Christopher worked as a senior political analyst at Tendencias Consultoria Integrada, a leading Brazilian economic consulting firm. He has held fellowships at Instituto de Estudos Economicos, Sociais e Politicos de Sao Paulo (IDESP), where he researched central bank politics in the region and at Centro de Estudos de Cultura Contemporanea (CEDEC), where he conducted field research on Brazilian federalism.
Christopher holds a master's degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego and a bachelor's degree from Grinnell College. He is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish. As a dual citizen of the US and Brazil, Christopher's loyalties in professional sports span both countries.
Martha Gabriel is a multidisciplinarity icon in Brazil in the fields of business, trends, innovation, education and arts, being among the main references in digital strategies in the country.
Author of 6 books, including three best sellers: "Marketing in the Digital Age”, “Educ@te: the digital (r)evolution in education” and her latest book, launched in last December, “You, Me and the Robots". Ranked among the Top 100 tech savvy professors by the Online Universities; listed among the top 50 innovators in the Brazilian digital world by Revista ProXXIma and ranked as Top 50 Marketing Bloggers in the world by KRED.
CEO at Martha Gabriel Consulting & Education, and partner of two tech-startups (Nethics and PoweredByAI), she holds a portfolio of clients including multinational companies, banks, government and universities.
Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Lead researcher of the group “All About AI” at PUC-SP (Catholic University of São Paulo), she also teaches in the top Business Schools in Brazil, including Insper.
International keynote speaker with more than 70 presentations abroad in US, Europe & Asia, awarded 3 times as best presentation in conferences in US. Speaker at 4 TEDx in Brazil. This year, Martha complete 20 years of presenting abroad.
