  • Avoid writing too casual by adding more energy with an active direct style.
  • How to write strong paragraphs with “straight-ahead” explanations.
  • Remove wordiness, controlling sentence and paragraph length.

Curt Peoples has been a professional editor, writer and communication skills trainer for over 30 years. His experience spans radio, book publishing, corporate writing and editing, communications training, and the delivery of live virtual programs.

As a communications skills-development professional, he focuses on giving people the skills they need to improve their clarity, persuasiveness and professionalism. He specialises in the areas of effective writing skills, creating impactful presentations, developing persuasive proposals, improving interpersonal communications and managing difficult conversations.

Over the years, he has designed and delivered professional development courses for more than 100 organizations from large multinationals to middle-market companies to not-for-profit businesses. He has worked for clients in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the UK, Australia, Singapore and the Caribbean.

Early in his career, Curt worked as a college textbook publisher for the International Thomson Organization/Wadsworth Publishing in San Francisco in the fields of sociology, economics and communications. He holds a BA in English (magna cum laude) from Ohio University and an MA in Sociology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
