Please join us for our annual Public Sector Accounting Standards (“PSAS”) webinar which will be presented by Bailey Church, CPA, CA. 

Bailey is a Partner with KPMG in Canada and Chair of the Public Sector Accounting Board’s (“PSAB”) Public Private Partnership (“P3”) Task Force which supports the PSAB project to develop the new P3 accounting standard expected to be released in Q2 2021.

There has been lots happening at PSAB.  In addition to the new P3 standard, this webinar will help you get ready for many exposure drafts to be issued in 2021, and to prepare for the new standards expected to come into effect in 2022 and 2023.

Topics include:

  • Review of PS3450, Financial Instruments;
  • Review of PS3280 Asset Retirement Obligations
  • Review of PS3400 Revenue
  • The proposed new P3 accounting standard; and
  • Active PSAB projects and standards under development.

Steve leads KPMG Private Enterprise, which provides assurance and advisory services to a wide range of clients including many public sector organisations and not-for-profits. He acts as audit engagement leader for many of Bermuda’s local businesses and BSX-listed companies, as well as a number of international companies headquartered in Bermuda.

Presenter: Bailey Church
Bailey Church leads the National Public Sector Accounting Advisory service line at KPMG in Canada, and as such, has provided his expertise for a number of public sector accounting advisory engagements. He has an extensive background serving the Government of Canada, provincial governments, crown corporations, municipalities, not-for-profit organisations and for-profit entities pursuing significant transactions with public sector entities.

His over 17 years of experience includes substantial work in financial management, accounting, financial reporting and auditing matters within the public sector environment. Bailey is a well-known speaker at seminars and conferences across Canada, including the Government Financial Officers Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Financial Management Institute, the Canadian Comprehensive Auditing Foundation, and the Office of the Auditor General. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
