How we behave today is less constrained by national borders than ever before. The use of technology is changing how we interact with each other and how we work. Organizations are increasingly transforming their global mobility programs through the use of digital technologies and automating what was previously managed by their people and reducing delays in their processes. According to the 2018 Global Assignment Policies and Practice Survey, almost half (48 percent) of global mobility professionals are using data and analytics in some fashion to guide their global mobility policy decision making. The resulting efficiency gains may then in turn be used to help maximize the positive experience mobile employees derive from moving to a new country, or between countries, while ensuring the organization remains compliant with their reporting obligations.
As part of a broader initiative exploring the future of mobility, here we will dive deeper into how global mobility departments are transforming through the use of technology to digitize and automate processes, ensure compliance obligations are met, and enhance the experience of their globally mobile workforces.
