Sales Manager – Retail Stores

Key Tasks

  • Deliver annual sales targets and maximise profitability through efficient management of cost structure, product mix and pricing, and working capital (inventory/in-store merchandise)
  • Develop and oversee execution of relevant commercial plans, e.g. promotional activities, visibility drives, loyalty programs, etc., provide excellent service through the retail store network, thus expanding the customer base
  • Responsible for appointment and management of all Store Managers and proper staffing of all stores with well-trained and customer-oriented people; in charge of the staff’s performance management and development
  • Ensure a clean, safe and positive work environment is maintained in all stores in compliance with relevant local laws and regulations and necessary security systems and measures are in place
  • Prepare annual budget for retail stores, scheduling expenditures, staffing requirements, store expansion plans, and relevant CAPEX and OPEX

What you need to have

  • Proven experience as a Retail Manager and excellent knowledge in sporting goods retailing sector or similar industry
  • Strong client relationship management and good planning and execution skills
  • Excellent people management capabilities and ability to establish respect, authority and discipline throughout the retail stores network
  • A result-driven professional with strong business acumen and analyticalmindset
  • Good understanding of financial measures incl. P&L and inventory management
  • Exceptional work ethics, loyalty and commitment
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar discipline
  • Clean driver’s licence
  • Fluency in English

Sales Manager – Wholesale Business

Key Tasks

  • Deliver annual sales targets through efficient management of product mix, pricing and working capital in compliance with company’s commercial policy and discount guidelines
  • Develop and execute a quarterly sales call plan to sustain current business partnerships and develop new sales opportunities
  • Produce accurate value and product mix forecast based on the independent retailers sales plans in order to boost seasonal purchase orders and generate new revenue
  • Provide POS materials and guidance to improve brands’ in-store visibility and advise on proper goods inventory management
  • Build and develop a sales team as per the growing business needs
  • Take active part in quarterly and annual planning sessions, contributing to the overall commercial strategy, business direction, pricing and discount strategy; Comply with monthly business performance reporting

What you need to have

  • Proven sales operations experience and excellent knowledge in sporting goods sector or similar industry
  • Strong client relationship management skills and prior involvement in planning and implementation of winning sales strategies
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with ability to communicate in an influential way, ensuring successful sales closure
  • Solid experience in trade marketing and category development
  • A result-driven professional with strong business acumen and analytical mindset
  • Good understanding of financial measures incl. P&L and inventory management
  • Exceptional work ethics, loyalty and commitment
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
  • Clean driver’s licence
  • Fluency in English
