Currently based in Prague, Czech Republic, Michael leads the Central and Eastern European Dispute Advisory team and is part of KPMG’s global leadership team for dispute related work. He regularly acts as an expert witness in cases involving accounting issues or quantification of damages, including business valuations, and acts as an arbitrator in matters involving complex accounting or valuation related issues. Michael has worked as a forensic accountant for over 20 years in various jurisdictions around the world and has conducted investigations into misconduct leading to civil and criminal cases. He has worked under the rules of various local legal systems in Europe and North America, as well as many of the arbitration institutions. He has given evidence in various forums including local courts and international arbitrations, on a range of issues from damage quantification to the authenticity of electronic data used to support allegations of fraud. He has worked across a number of industries including automotive, insurance, banking, manufacturing, telecommunications and healthcare. He recognized again in Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration 2016 as one of the world’s leading expert witnesses.
