Internal Auditor

As part of KPMG’s Internal Audit team you will be focused on helping companies identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems. Our services elevate compliance and internal audit into a proactive, forward-facing function able to identify trends with emphasis on risk and growth.

At KPMG we strive not only to assist our clients to discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also help them assess their vulnerabilities to such activities and design and implement controls to mitigate risks.

As an Internal Auditor you would:

  • Perform financial, operational and compliance internal audit reviews
  • Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance projects
  • Identify internal control weaknesses and practical recommendations for improving levels of efficiency of internal control systems
  • Participate in forensic assignments
  • Participate in other complex advisory projects across various industries
  • Summarize findings in a clear, logical and concise manner
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to business development activities


To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • University degree in a business-related discipline
  • At least two years of experience in internal/external audits or a controlling function
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • CIA certification (in process) combined with a passion for IT would be considered an advantage
  • Fluency in English and Bulgarian
