KPMG named a leading Microsoft AI services provider

We are pleased to announce that HFS Research has named KPMG International a leading global service provider of Microsoft Artificial Intelligence solutions.

The HFS Top 10 Microsoft AI Services 2019 report examines the impact that Microsoft’s service-provider alliances are having in the fast-emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape. HFS assessed and rated the Microsoft AI services capabilities of 14 firms based on Innovation, Execution Ability and Voice of the Customer criteria.

The KPMG-Microsoft alliance is moving the needle on multiple aspects of Microsoft AI adoption and the technology giant considers KPMG as a strategic partner for its success.

HFS describes KPMG as a “critical partner” in Microsoft’s AI strategy and “a consulting leader using its domain knowledge to collaborate with Microsoft on AI.” The report ranks KPMG first in services delivery in the Execution category and first for its Microsoft AI strategy and roadmap in the Innovation category.

Strategic vision, strong alliances and AI-based solutions noted

HFS also calls out KPMG’s “strategic vision” and continued expertise development in AI, noting that KPMG has certified to date more than 100 data scientists in Microsoft Azure AI and trained about 2,000 D&A consultants in data, analytics and AI Microsoft services. HFS also praises our ongoing workshop initiatives aimed at driving AI education among businesses.

The HFS report notes that “strong alliances with leading service providers” such as KPMG have become “instrumental” in delivering joint go-to-market activities that focus on capability development, market awareness and technical collaboration.

Highlights of KPMG’s Microsoft AI-based solutions featured in the report include two ground-breaking pilot programs underway:

  • Genomics analytics for life sciences clients – a Microsoft AI-powered interactive dashboard that enables clients to both visualize relationships between gene sequences and model plausible virus mutations to anticipate outbreaks and potential cures.
  • KPMG’s Intelligent Underwriting Engine, a breakthrough AI solution powered by machine learning to deliver improved risk, premium and policy outcomes for insurance companies.
