Tax treaty negotiations between Canada and Brazil to be held November 2018
Negotiations to update the tax treaty between Canada and Brazil will be held in November 2018. Finance announced the upcoming negotiations in a recent news release and asks for interested persons to inform them of any issues that might be addressed in the course of the discussions. Finance is particularly interested in learning of any difficulties encountered by Canadians under the Brazilian tax system, so that these issues might be taken into account in negotiations.
