The 4th edition of the KPMG Trophy takes place at Golf de L’Empereur Relais & Country Club, in Ways (Genappe). From the 7th to the 10th of June 2018 the golf professionals of the Challenge Tour will compete against each other on the long golf course of this Walloon club.
With its beautiful surroundings, Golf de L’Empereur is an excellent choice to welcome top players of the Challenge Tour. The KPMG Trophy is part of the professional golf tournaments offering qualification for the European Tour to successful players. Furthermore, several compatriots will participate in this competition.
Similar to last year, the Royal Belgian Golf Federation will send its best golf players to the KPMG Trophy in the hopes of matching their 2017 performance. At that time, four Belgians were selected: Christopher Mivis, Kevin Hesbois, Arnaud Langenaeken and Giovanni Tadiotto. To this day, Giovanni still owns the statute of an ‘amateur’.
At the KPMG Trophy, recognized at an international level and valued by many golfers, you can admire the game of aspiring big Belgian and foreign golfers. In 2015 and 2016 our countrymen Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry put up a striking performance. The winner of 2017 was the Austrian Martin Wiegele.
An official press conference of the KPMG Trophy 2018 will be organized at Golf de L’Empereur on Monday, 4 June at 11 am. Further details will follow in the press invitation.
