The Changing Transfer Pricing Litigation Landscape in India

This session is intended to provide an update on the changing transfer pricing litigation and APA landscape in India.

16 November 2018, 9:00AM - 11:30AM, CET

Indian revenue authorities are known to conduct very aggressive transfer pricing audits leading to major transfer pricing litigations. The Indian government has introduced a number of dispute resolution mechanisms to reduce transfer pricing litigation and to provide much needed certainty to foreign investors.

One of the key dispute resolution mechanisms has been the introduction of the Advanced Pricing Agreement (APA) program. Over the last few years, there have been a large number of APAs concluded. This has encouraged many more taxpayers/multinational corporations to opt for an APA route vis-a-vis the traditional transfer pricing audit route. In this regard, the Indian government has also recently released a report highlighting the success of the APA program towards creating a tax friendly environment.

KPMG is pleased to invite you to a workshop on “The Changing Transfer Pricing Litigation Landscape in India”, on Friday November 16, 2018. Hasnain Shroff, Transfer Pricing Partner from KPMG India, will be leading the presentation and discussions.

The session is intended to provide an update on the changing transfer pricing litigation landscape in India, sharing of experience from the APAs concluded (including practical learnings) and helping understand the impact of recent transfer pricing amendments.
