Tazul is a fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He has over 10 years of experience in providing audit, tax and advisory services to various sectors such as manufacturing, services, banking, NBFIs, etc.
He is well conversant with the corporate laws, taxation laws, banking laws and regulations, foreign exchange regulations, international tax conventions and interpretations issued by OECD and United Nations (UN), regulatory environment and framework, etc. He attended a number of training programmes which cover ISAs, IFRSs, US GAAP, taxations, etc. in home and abroad. He has extensive experience in auditing financial statements prepared under IFRS, US GAAP, banking regulations, etc. He is familiar with US SOX and PCAOB requirements. He has also extensive experience in the shipping and logistic industry.
He does advisory work in regulatory review and business set-up. He regularly advises international investors on regulatory and tax matters in connection with their business entry into Bangladesh. He has extensive experience in advising foreign EPC contractors on pre-bid matters as well as their ongoing compliance and tax planning. He was tax advisor for many corporate deals (acquisition, merger, etc.) including two largest corporate deals in the history of Bangladesh. Further, he has carried out many financial and tax due diligence reviews. Tazul has extensive experience in corporate tax compliance, International Expatriate Services (IES), etc. for a number of multinational companies. He has also extensive experience in international taxation especially in planning double taxation matters in the light of double taxation treaties. he was involved in providing financial consultancy support services to Payra Port, the only deep sea port of Bangladesh, in selecting their dredging contractor.
His major clients in KPMG Bangladesh include Uber, Chevron, Linde, Nestle, L’Oreal, Sumitomo, Walmart, Maersk, GlaxoSmithKline, SGS, TUV SUD, Philip Morris, BAT Bangladesh, Brac Bank, Southeast Bank, IPDC, etc.
