Asja started her professional career when she joined KPMG’s tax department in January 2008, after completing her degree in London. Asja spent two and a half years in another Big 4 company before taking over the function of manager of our tax department. Apart from extensive experience in taxation advisory and compliance services, which is her focus area, Asja has participated in numerous external audits, due diligence, M&A and forensic engagements. Currently, Asja’s primary focus are tax advisory services in the field of corporate profit tax (local legislation and implementation of treaties on avoidance of double taxation) and compliance with relevant tax regulation and practice in the field of transfer prices, as well as advisory services in the field of taxation of individuals (local legislation and application of the conventions on social security / totalization agreements). Recently, Asja has been the team leader on many transfer pricing engagements which related to the preparation of transfer pricing studies and she provided support to clients in relation to the communication with the Taxation Authority with regard to transfer pricing issues. Asja is a lecturer in training programs organized for taxpayers, primarily in the field of direct taxes and international taxation. During her professional career, Asja has been a team leader which included coordination of projects and contacts with clients during engagements to prepare transfer pricing studies and taxation advisory engagements, and she is responsible for establishing and maintaining contacts with clients.
