KPMG in Azerbaijan with FIMSA and ABA organized "Digitalization and Innovative Solutions" conference for local banking and insurance representatives.
On September 9, KPMG in Azerbaijan in partnership with Financial Market Supervisory Authority of Azerbaijan Republic (FIMSA) and Azerbaijan Banking Association (ABA) launched joint conference “Digitalization and Innovative solutions” for local banking and insurance sector representatives.
The main objectives of the conference were to discuss recent
trends on innovative banking and insurance products in the contemporary word with emphasis on emerging markets, main IRM trends, challenges and risks associated with digitalization and setting up effective prudential regulation framework to address these risks in line with COBIT, ISO and Basel standards to ensure financial sector sustainable development in Azerbaijan.
Andrei Lepekhin, Head of IT Advisory, and Andrei Drozdov, Advisory Associate Director at KPMG in Russia and the CIS discussed main trends on digitalization in financial industry, as well as benefits and risks associated with introduction of innovative banking products in CIS region.
Sinem Canturk, Partner, and Ehtiram Ismayilov, Director of Information Risk Management at KPMG in Turkey, in turn, shed light on the IT regulations and governance related issues with particular focus on Turkey experience.
Alikhayyam Guluzade, IT Advisory Manager at KPMG in Azerbaijan, had a speech on IT Governance and Management methods in digitalized environment with different digital maturity levels.
