This statement summarises how KPMG in Australia collects, uses, discloses and manages personal information collected as part of this survey. This statement should be read in conjunction with KPMG's Privacy Policy, which is available to be viewed at kpmg.com.au.

In this Privacy Statement, ‘KPMG’, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ is a reference to the KPMG partnership and includes any entity carrying on business in Australia that is part of the KPMG group of entities (which includes Associated Entities).

KPMG is committed to protecting your personal information. Where KPMG collects personal information about you as part of this survey, KPMG will treat the information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles established by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and any applicable State privacy laws.

Collection, purpose, use and disclosure of personal information

Where KPMG collects personal information about you as part of this survey, KPMG does so for the purposes of preparing a report to our client.

You may choose to remain anonymous when completing the survey. If you do provide your name, KPMG will generally only provide your responses to our client for this engagement at an aggregate level. This means that KPMG will use the combined answers of many people and will present only aggregated information about various demographic groups and individual responses will not be reported. In certain circumstances, some clients may wish to receive the raw data showing individual responses to their survey. In this case, KPMG would only provide your individual response to our client if you have provided explicit permission to do so before commencing the survey.

KPMG may disclose your personal information to KPMG’s external service providers for purposes of managing the database on which survey responses are stored and to assist with resolving system errors. Otherwise, KPMG will only disclose your personal information to third parties if required by law, or if you consent.

Disclosure of personal information overseas

Your responses, including any personal information that you provide, will be stored electronically on a database with restricted access. The database on which your responses are stored may be located in the United States of America.

KPMG in Australia may engage outsource service providers in India to analyse survey responses and to prepare a report of aggregated responses for the client.
