Craig Wishart has joined KPMG Australia as Chief Information Officer (CIO), replacing Anthony Stevens, who now leads the firm’s Digital Services team in the newly-created role of Chief Digital Officer.
Craig is an experienced technology and operations executive who has led the delivery of large scale business transformations, cloud services implementations, and service operations change programs. He joins from UXC Ltd where he was CIO and CTO, with global responsibility for the ICT function. Prior to this he was CIO and Executive General Manager for Customer Services at Service Stream. He has also held various executive IT roles at ANZ Bank, Telstra, Rio Tinto and Sensis. Craig is an Advisory Board Member of the CIO Executive Council Australia/New Zealand.
“Craig is very well placed to lead our IT Services team, with his extensive experience and cross-industry exposure. He also has significant global expertise and is highly regarded for his cloud platform, security and risk and ICT transformation capabilities,” said Damian Templeton, Chief Financial Officer of KPMG Australia.
“Under Anthony’s leadership, the firm has implemented an unprecedented amount of change and transformed what and how ITS supports the firm. This transformation will now be accelerated under Craig, with technology key to supporting and managing our firm’s growth and development,” he added.
Craig has commenced his new role this month, and is based in Melbourne.
“More than ever, organisations are challenged with transforming, evolving and identifying new ways of working. The opportunity to contribute to the success and future of KPMG is exciting. I genuinely look forward to working with the KPMG leadership and technology teams to maximise and optimise the investments we make within our business,” said Craig.
