Local government – Customer and technology transformation program
Local government: Customer & technology transformation
In May 2019, KPMG sponsored the Public Sector Network’s Local Government Transformation Series, events focusing on customer and technology transformation.
Creating connected councils
This event series was delivered across six cities in Australia and New Zealand to benchmark the key challenges faced by local government areas (LGAs) in each state, and develop a comprehensive report on the findings.
During the series, we heard from local government experts from across the spectrum, including chief executive officers, planners and policy makers, consultants and community leaders, discussing the:
- roadmap needed for successful transformation
- importance of holistic strategy
- need for collaboration
- importance of engagement with citizens and local communities.
Our report explores common themes and challenges, and provides insights from series participants.
