National plumbing supplier chooses KPMG to implement Workday

National plumbing supplier implements Workday

One of Australia‘s national suppliers of bathroom and plumbing products with stores across the country has chosen KPMG to implement Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) solution. The client was using a number of inefficient legacy systems that could not meet the needs of their growing business or support their mobile working environment.

To simplify and streamline their business, KPMG implemented a centralised and standard solution focused around empowering employees with self-service capabilities across the entire employee lifecycle. This provided greater efficiencies, lower processing and cycle times, as well as freeing up Payroll and HR for more strategic, value-added activities.

The journey to cloud required a new wave of thinking in how they addressed data integration, focusing on redirecting their development resources towards revenue generating activities and the ability of IT to react quickly to the project backlog.

KPMG delivered a scalable iPaaS enterprise solution powered by APIs focusing on the following key business outcomes:

  1. Seamless HR experience to employees across the systems within the organisation.
  2. Improve the efficiency and agility of the onboarding process (e.g. background check, job posting, and employee demographic feeds).
  3. Automate integration with Payroll – reducing redundant manual administrative tasks.
  4. Reduce maintenance costs.

In addition, KPMG assisted the client in mitigating pain points around end-user training and deployed a self-guided, on-the-go learning platform to enable their staff to be trained as and when needed.
