  • Superannuation Guarantee Integrity Package
    On 24 January 2018, Treasury released the exposure draft for the Treasury Laws Amendment (Taxation and Superannuation Guarantee Integrity Measures) Bill 2018 (‘ED’) and announced other measures intended to give effect to its Superannuation Guarantee (SG) Integrity Package. This follows Treasury’s previous announcement in August 2017.
  • Exposure Draft on Corporate Collective Investment Vehicles
    On 20 December 2017, Treasury released an exposure draft for Treasury Laws Amendments (Corporate Collective Investment Vehicle) (CCIV) Bill and explanatory materials (Draft Bill). The Draft Bill proposes the new tax framework that will give effect to the CCIV.
  • Asia Region Funds Passport – Pilot Program
    On 5 January 2018, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) released an expressions of interest to participate in a Pilot Program for the Asia Region Funds Passport (ARFP) in early 2018.
  • Tax Expenditure Statement
    The 2017 Tax Expenditures Statement lists 289 tax expenditures and, where possible, provides an estimate of the dollar value or order of magnitude of the benefit to taxpayers.
