Established in 1984, Stationery Wholesalers now supply stationery and other office products to businesses all around Australia. The key to Stationery Wholesalers’ success is reliable supply, stable pricing, on-time delivery and personal service.

Client results

Microsoft Dynamics now powers Stationery Wholesalers’ sales and purchasing, warehousing and dispatch, accounting, as well as ecommerce. Using BI reporting, the company has full transparency into its performance and data, and even integrates with its freight systems.

Using Microsoft Dynamics has enabled Stationery Wholesalers to offer a higher level of customer service than was possible before. The upgraded website, powered by Dynamics, provides customers with a far more nuanced online shopping experience, with features that allow customers to choose products that best suit their business, whether they want environmentally friendly products, and if they want Australian products.

Since going live with the Microsoft Dynamics solution, Stationery Wholesalers have received a great response from existing customers and new customers alike, and are now seeing a greater percentage of their business being placed as sales orders online.

The benefits for Stationery Wholesalers can be summarised as:

  1. Higher level of customer service: the new ecommerce site is more sophisticated, making it easier for customers to order online with spending limit control and extended product categories.
  2. Better insight in the business performance: the business intelligence reporting makes it easier for managers to identity relevant information and sales.
  3. More efficient warehouse and dispatch: through easier order management.

The project

KPMG implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV to manage several aspects of their business including:

  • ecommerce and online ordering
  • sales
  • purchasing
  • warehousing
  • dispatch
  • accounting.

Director Ben Kresner said Stationery Wholesalers chose KPMG because of their comprehensive service. Not just providing the Microsoft Dynamics, but providing ecommerce consulting and strategic IT plans.
