John has lived and worked in both developed and emerging economies and understands the importance of tailoring approaches and solutions to match regional nuances. "Global businesses often attempt to implement solutions with a ‘one size fits all’ mindset and then wonder why they are not embraced as successfully as planned. Listening to what motivates the various parts of the business and adapting approaches to suit is key here."
He has a keen personal interest in helping businesses understand the broader social impact of what they do and to build upon more traditional social responsibility programs to put this in to action.
Outside of work John devotes most of his time to his family and his love of aviation and history. Despite spending more hours on a plane than he cares to remember, he still loves the thrill of hurtling down a runway and the curiosity of visiting new places.
