Brendan joined the KPMG Partnership in July 2007 as a Partner in the Audit, Assurance and Risk Consulting division and he has over 24 years experience, predominately in the Banking, Funds Management and Insurance sectors. During this time, Brendan has provided external and internal audit, accounting, regulatory, risk, compliance and governance services to a wide range of clients across the financial services industry.

Brendan recently returned from a two-and-a-half year secondment in Europe (2015 – 2018). During this time he advised many organisations on risk, regulation and compliance issues. This included key topics such as Brexit, where Brendan presented on contingency plans to financial services executives in the heart of London on the night of the Brexit vote. “This was one of the most surreal evenings and corporate presentations I have ever been involved with, particularly not knowing what was to eventuate as the votes were counted.”
Brendan has also worked in Hong Kong (1999 – 2000) and the UK (1996 – 1997), both of which have provided Brendan with unique perspectives on the financial services industry.
Brendan is the proud father of two children. He is passionate about sport and has played cricket and soccer competitively, and has been a qualified umpire and referee in both sports. Whilst still playing soccer competitively, Brendan now takes most enjoyment from watching his children enjoy their soccer, netball, cricket and gymnastics activities.
