She has authored numerous thought pieces in the areas of directors’ duties, corporate governance, equity capital markets, legal and regulatory changes and compliance, and has collaborated with the Australian Institute of Company Directors on publications in relation to issues concerning directors. Most recently, she was a key contributor to the ASX Entrepreneur’s Guide 2018.
Hoda regularly advises boards and companies on securities laws, directors duties, continuous disclosure requirements, best practice and ongoing corporate governance compliance and requirements, conflicts management and independence related matters, board committee formations, director rotation, annual and extraordinary general meetings and other corporate law and regulatory requirements.
She has extensive financial services, banking and regulatory experience, as well as in-house legal experience, and has held senior-in house counsel roles at a major infrastructure organisation and at a leading global investment bank.
Hoda was a key member of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Taskforces into the HIH and James Hardie Investigations, two of the highest profile wins for the Commission, where she played a key role in the Commission’s investigations of breaches of directors’ duties.
