As Chair of the Canberra Office, Cath has championed the practice as the Centre of Excellence for Government in KPMG. She understands that serving citizens and business so that Australia prospers, requires the modernising of Government through the deployment of technology, smart use of data together with dynamic policy and program design and deployment – all governed to withstand public scrutiny and realise the benefits of investment.
Cath acknowledges the privilege it is to serve the Australian Public Service and is passionate about the work of the firm contributing to a high performing Public Sector. She also enjoys working with a diverse range of people, bringing the best out in each of them through leading, coaching and mentoring. She is an experienced facilitator.
She has held a wide range of roles over the years including independent program assurance, governance reviews, program design, risk management and external and internal audit. Her work has taught her the value of curiosity and self-awareness. “If you want to lead a client, you have to lead yourself first.” Being authentic is also critical. “You have to be real when you’re in the business of consulting.”
Cath loves a good laugh, has a strong belief in the importance of the arts in society, and is a passionate supporter of the Canberra region across all genres of culture and sport.
