Partner in Charge, CFO Advisory
Complex challenges are Nicola’s forte, as she thrives on finding innovative, effective solutions for clients. With the public sector a core focus, she gets particular satisfaction out of projects that enhance fiscal outcomes and improve the sustainability of state finances.
Nicola has been with KPMG for around 30 years and is KPMG Partner in Charge of CFO Advisory. Nicola specialises in complex accounting matters, audit support and finance process improvements for NSW Government agencies. She has led programs across energy, education, utilities, finance, property, leasing and more.
“It is hard to identify my proudest moments due to the variety in my job,” she says. However Nicola cites advising the Barangaroo Delivery Authority in Sydney, leading the finance and accounting streams in the NSW Government’s electricity reform program and supporting TAFE NSW through its reporting challenges as stand out experiences.
Nicola is a member of the global KPMG IPSASB/Public Sector Discussion group, as well as KPMG’s Global Finance and Treasury team. In 2008 she undertook a secondment as a Partner at KPMG Canada.
Nicola has two young boys, so life outside work is focused on her family, and also pursing her love of fitness.
