James learned his trade as an actuary in the Australian Life Insurance Industry, consulting to every known insurer in either an advisory, audit or deal capacity. He led large industry transformational engagements such as mergers and acquisitions that included AIG/CommInsure, Nippon/MLC. He also brought new entrants into the market, which included Scor Re, Pacific Life Re and Integrity. James was the Chief Actuary/Appointed Actuary for over 10 insurers and during this time, he became an expert in risk and capital management, and market/channel strategies.
This wide-ranging experience gives James a unique ability to look at complex organisations, their challenges and their many stakeholders in a holistic manner. He is adept at identifying trends as well as new organic and non-organic markets for clients.
