Over the last two years, KPMG Lower Gulf has spearheaded notable digital and innovation projects across the banking, public health, and government sectors in the region. Notably, it facilitated the deployment of synthetic data for the region's inaugural digital banking platform, enhancing customer onboarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Collaborating with a healthcare regulator, KPMG developed a custom AI-powered simulator to assist policymakers in disease impact management. In the cybersecurity domain, it orchestrated a cyber wargaming exercise for the UAE's banking sector. Leading digital transformations for a major regional hospital and a government agency, KPMG accelerated technology adoption, upskilled staff, and increased automation. The firm has actively contributed to thought leadership with reports on diverse topics, organizing events and webinars on subjects like smart cities, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and open data. Notably, KPMG bolstered its digital and innovation team by recruiting nine senior members, including four Partners and two Directors.

KPMG achieved strong results in 2021 and reported global revenues of $32.13 billion in the 2021 fiscal year, an increase of 10%, with growth across functions: Advisory growing at 17%, Audit at 4% and Tax & Legal Services at 8%.
