Team from Heriot-Watt University pack their bags for Kuala Lumpur as they bid to be recognized as the best of the best.
A team of four top students from Heriot-Watt University will be going head-to-head with the brightest students from 21 other university teams from around the world in the 15th annual KPMG International Case Competition (KICC), which takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next week.
KICC poses real-world business challenges to test the creativity, problem-solving skills and learning agility of these top university undergraduates, providing a truly disruptive and immersive learning experience.
“Over the last couple of months, this incredible team from Heriot-Watt University has competed against top students from some of the best universities in the country to earn their place in Malaysia,” said Peter Haugaard, Head of People, Performance and Culture.
“It’s been exhilarating to see just how much great thinking, talent and potential students in United Arab have and this team really demonstrate all that is great about our country’s emerging talent. When you consider some of the opportunities on the horizon for businesses – as a result of disruption, globalization, technology and rapid change, it’s inspiring to know we have a pipeline of future business leaders waiting in the wings to take advantage of these opportunities.”
In the global final, which takes place over four days, winning teams of four from each country will work to develop innovative, results-driven solutions which they then present to a panel of KPMG judges. Teams progress through multiple rounds until one team is crowned KICC champion on Thursday, 12 April 2018.
“KICC is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for exceptional students to challenge themselves against intellectually stimulating business scenarios,” said Peter Haugaard, Head of People, Performance and Culture. “It’s an experience many KPMG people have every day and KICC is our way of sharing this experience with the business leaders of the future, helping them prepare for the next step in their careers and demonstrating the exceptional opportunities they could have as a KPMG professional.”
