Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) announced a 3 May 2020 deadline for Economic Substance (ES) Notifications for FY19 for all DAFZ-based entities. The ES Notification format is available on DAFZA’s online customer portal. Earlier, RAK International Corporate Centre and Ajman Free Zone have set 30 June 2020 as the deadline for their ES Notifications.
While other regulatory authorities are yet to announce due dates for their ES Notifications, it would be prudent for UAE entities to undertake the FY19 ES assessment in order to be ready with a position for the ES Notification (and later ES Reporting, if applicable).
