Dubai Development Authority (DDA)—formerly known as Dubai Creative Clusters Authority—issued its 2018 Licensing Categories Decision (LCD) for the Dubai Creative Clusters Zone through Circular 302 dated 4 December 2018.

One key requirement of Circular 302 is the preparation of audited accounts for Free Zone Limited Liability Companies and Branches, from the 2018 business year going forward. Accordingly, the first submission of the audited accounts will need to be made in 2019. 

Entities registered in the following free zones will be impacted by the mandatory audit requirements:

— Dubai Internet City

— Dubai Media City

— Dubai Outsource City

— Dubai Production City

— Dubai Knowledge Park

— Dubai Studio City

— Dubai Design District

— Dubai International Academic City

— Dubai Science Park
