Exploring a wide range of business drivers, risks and opportunities, this year’s report (the third in the series) offers insight into how new and evolving forces continue to increase the volume and depth of issues CEOs are having to deal with.

UAE and Omani CEOs are more optimistic about the future prospects of their businesses than their global counterparts, with more than half predicting growth over the next three years.

Technology continues to command considerable attention, as an enabler and disruptor. Data privacy is also understandably high on the CEO’s agenda. And even with the greater use of data-driven models and analytics to make decisions, most CEOs are still relying on the value of their experience and intuition to make strategic decisions.

Other important findings from the report include:

  • Over half (56%) believe a cyber attack is a case of “when, not if”.
  • 86% expect Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create more jobs than it eliminates
  • Four in ten say their organizations’ biggest challenge in meeting millennials’ needs is to understand how they differ from older customers’
