Walid Yakan is a partner in Audit at KPMG Lower Gulf. He has a collective experience of 17 years providing Audit and Advisory services across a wide variety of clients within different industry sectors, including financial services, trading and manufacturing, real estate among others. Walid is well versed in auditing and accounting standards and an experienced trainer in delivering courses internally, as well as to external clients. Throughout his career, he has served a portfolio of high-profile clients including significant group and multinational audits and has gained broad experience in helping clients navigate and resolve complex technical issues. He led Audit transitions of large corporations seamlessly and led KPMG services for two of the largest IPOs in the UAE. Walid holds a degree in Finance and is a UAE Chartered Accountant and a US Certified Public Accountant.
