Diversity and Inclusion are essential components of our business strategy and success, and help us bring out the best in each other and ourselves.
Creating an inclusive culture where all our people achieve their potential
Diversity and inclusion are a critical component of our larger corporate responsibility strategy.
KPMG is proud to foster a high-performance culture, one that’s defined by having great people, with the skills and determination to deliver above and beyond. That means we must continue to recruit, retain, and develop people who are technically brilliant, insightful, and astute professionals who are also forward-thinking, confident, and globally minded.
We know that our ability to successfully sustain a high-performance culture also requires that our people be as diverse as the clients we serve, and the communities in which we live and work. As result, we have developed a set of priorities and initiatives designed to enhance the professional development of our people, and support their growth as potential future leaders of the firm, addressing both our women empowerment and Emiratization agenda.
KPMG Lower Gulf signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi to become an Official Supplier for the event in 2019. In addition, KPMG Lower Gulf is also an Official Sponsor of the Global Youth Leadership Summit (GYLS), which runs in conjunction with the Games.
The GLYS brings together youth leaders from across the world to learn, share best practices and develop plans to implement the inclusive vision of the Special Olympics movement in their home communities around the world. Youth leaders will convene in Abu Dhabi this year to represent the global Special Olympics movement and launch the next chapter after its 50-year anniversary in 2018.
We have partnered with REACH Mentoring, an organization that addresses the issue of women empowerment by bringing together professional women from the region and pairing them with volunteers, both individual and corporate, who will be their mentors, helping them achieve a set personal goal. KPMG LG will be providing partners and directors to participate in the program for one year, acting as guides and advisors to their paired mentee.
